Young Engineers LEGO & KNEX Camps

A Young Engineers Holiday Camp provides children with a fun and exciting way to explore science and engineering during their holidays.

Sessions mix building using LEGO® & KNEX® with time outside, experiments, investigations, and creative projects all with the aim of learning about scientific and engineering principles.

Camps Locations are: Cramond, Meggetland, Edinburgh Academy, East Calder, Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy.

Big Builders for ages 3 to 5: Each 3 hour session is themed to allow us to explore a wide range of maths, science and engineering concepts. This summer our themes include; our universe, under the sea and moving machines. We take part in play based experiments and investigations that develop both our understanding and provide plenty of opportunity to improve our motor skills and spatial awareness before we start our KNEX Building sessions.

Bricks Challenge (Ages 6 to 10): Our Bricks Challenge sessions aim to build confidence in problem solving and engineering understanding. The morning session is taken up by building a moving LEGO® machine that supports understanding of our STEM concept. In the afternoon we work with our team to complete our design challenge. Children are provided with a problem and must work together to create a solution.
